Hammond Hawkins, lead stylist and owner of
Salon 306, has brought a trendy style to
Cumming. Kelli has been fascinated with
hairstyles and fashion from childhood,
inspiring her to pursue a career in
cosmetology, which lead her to fulfilling
her dream by opening Salon 306. Her business
philosophy is to provide quality service
with exceptional customer courtesy in a
clean and friendly atmosphere. As you walk
through the doors, you instantly feel
relaxed by the environment, complementary
beverages and in knowing that you will be
walking out with the look you dreamed of.
Kelli grew up living at the intersection of
Highway 306 and 369, which is what gave her
the inspiration for the name of her salon.
Kelli’s family has been operating successful
businesses in the Cumming community since
the late 1800’s. People that know Kelli’s
family and her, and have done business with
them know that they are honorable business
owners.
 Kelli’s
vision when opening the salon in June of
2005 at the age of 21 was to provide top
quality service as well as staying on top on
the latest trends and style. In order to
achieve this goal, Kelli and her staff are
involved in continuing education programs,
giving their clients first class service
backed by industry leading products and
techniques. Salon 306 also offers 2 Redken
and one TIGI certified hair colorists on
site. Kelli does not stop at keeping up with
the latest trends in hair; Salon 306 also
offers the latest make-up secrets to help
you create your most beautiful look ever.

Salon 306 has an environment
that puts clients at ease from the moment
they walk through the door. When entering
the salon the sound of soft music is heard,
the warm glow of candles illuminate from the
color bar, and shampoo area. The comfort of
the reception area makes you feel right at
home. Salon 306 moved 2 doors down into a
larger and remodeled area in October of
2008. When asked why go through the expense
and trouble of redesigning the salon, Kelli
said, “I wanted to give the customer a
relaxing experience along with quality
service; that’s what we strive for.” One
client commented, “After your first visit,
you look forward to your next appointment.”
Since Kelli established her
salon in the very community she grew up in,
giving back to it is something she holds
close to her heart. Salon 306 has never
looked the other way when asked to help our
local schools and churches in fundraisers,
from donation gift cards, her time, or
products to helping the organizations
achieve their goals.
